Overview of Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration

You can use Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration to configure settings for new connections, modify the settings of existing connections, and delete connections. You can configure settings on a per connection basis, or for the server as a whole.
Important
You can only use Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration in Windows Server 2008 R2 to configure a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
Note
Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) was formerly known as the Terminal Server role service, and Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server was formerly known as Terminal Server.
