View Information About a Device Driver

This topic provides a procedure you can use to view details about the device drivers that are running on your computer.

Any user account can be used to complete this procedure. However, only members of the Administrators group can make changes to any of the devices or their drivers.

To view information about a device driver

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Find and right-click the specific device you want, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Driver tab, information about the currently installed driver is displayed.

  4. Click the Details button.

    The Driver File Details page appears with a list of the individual files that make up the driver.
