Monitor MS DTC Performance

You can use Transaction Statistics in the Component Services snap-in to monitor the performance of Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) transactions. Transaction Statistics displays statistical information about the transactions in which a server participates. You can use Transaction Statistics to get an overview of MS DTC performance.

Membership in Administrators, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at Local and Domain Default Groups (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477).

To view transaction statistics

  1. Open Component Services.

    To open Component Services, click Start. In the search box, type dcomcnfg, and then press ENTER.

  2. In the console tree, double-click the Distributed Transaction Coordinator folder, double-click Local DTC, and then click Transaction Statistics.

  3. You can view the states of your transactions under the Current, Aggregate, and Response Times groups.
