WMS Client Logging - Log Cycle Period properties
Applies To: Windows Server 2008
The Log Cycle Period dialog box defines how often the server creates a log file. You can select one of the following options.
Item | Description |
---|---|
Hourly |
Choose this option to have the current log file close and a new one created at the top of each hour. |
Daily |
Choose this option to have the current log file close and a new one created at midnight of each day. |
Weekly |
Choose this option to have the current log file close and a new one created every Sunday at midnight. |
Monthly |
Choose this option to have the current log file close and a new one created at midnight on the first day of each month. |
When file size reaches (KB): |
Choose this option to have the current log file close and a new one created when the log file reaches the specified file size. |
Never |
Choose this option to have the current log file continually updated and not cycled automatically. This is useful if you are writing the log file to a named pipe or other network location where a script or another program can extract the data. |
