Cache Page
Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista
The Application Request Routing (ARR) Cache page displays the runtime statistics for ARR, including the health status and the percentage of the server that is being used. You can use these actions to configure disk cache settings and manage cache content.
UI Elements
Element Name | Description |
---|---|
Drive Location |
Displays the physical address of a drive used for caching. |
Priority |
Displays the order in which the drive is used when ARR searches for cached content, which can be either Primary or Secondary. You can have multiple Primary disk cache locations but only one Secondary disk cache location. |
Health Status |
Displays the status of a drive, which can be either Healthy or Unhealthy. |
Maximum Size (GB) |
Displays the maximum size in GB that a drive is allocated for cached content. |
Utilization (%) |
Displays the percentage of a drive that is being used to cache content. |
Actions Pane Elements
Element Name | Description |

Cache Configuration |
Opens the Cache Configuration page and lets you configure proxy cache settings for your ARR server. |
Cache Control Rules |
Opens the Cache Control Rules page and lets you configure rules to manage the cache control behavior. |
Add Drive |
Opens the Add Drive dialog box, and lets you add a new disk cache location and specify the maximum size allotted for cached content. You can add multiple primary disk cache locations. |
Add Secondary Drive |
Opens the Add Secondary Drive dialog box and lets you add a secondary disk cache location. You can add only one secondary disk cache location. |
Edit |
Opens the Edit Drive dialog box and lets you modify the selected drive location and size. |
Remove |
Deletes the selected drive. |
Set Drive as Healthy |
Sets the selected drive status as Healthy, which indicates that the drive can be used to cache content. |
Set Drive as Unhealthy |
Sets the selected drive status as Unhealthy, which indicates that the drive cannot be used to cache content. |
Delete Specific Cached Objects |
Opens the Delete Specific Cached Objects dialog box and lets you enter the URL address where you want to delete specific cached objects. |
Delete All Cached Objects |
Deletes all cached objects in the primary cache drives. This action will not delete cached objects in the secondary cache drive. |
Pre-cache Objects |
Opens the Pre-cache Objects dialog box and lets you specify the location of the content that you want to pre-cache. |
Server Proxy Settings |
Opens the Application Request Routing page and lets you configure the proxy settings for your ARR server. |
