Create a dial-up or ISDN connection in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

You can use this procedure to create a dial-up networking connection that uses your modem or Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) adapter.
Any user account can be used to complete this procedure.
Important
To perform this procedure, you must have a modem or an ISDN adapter installed in your computer. In addition, you must know your user name and password. If you are connecting to a dial-up server using a modem, you must also know the telephone number of the dial-up server.
To create a dial-up or ISDN connection
Click the Network icon in the task bar notification area, and then click Open Network and Sharing Center. Network and Sharing Center opens.
In Change your network settings, click Set up a new connection or network. The Set up a new connection or network wizard opens.
Follow the steps in the Set up a new connection or network wizard, entering all relevant dial-up or ISDN options, and then click Create.
