Overview of Terminal Services Manager

You can use Terminal Services Manager to view information about and monitor users, sessions, and processes on terminal servers running Windows Server® 2008 or Windows Server® 2003. You can also perform certain administrative tasks; for example, you can disconnect or log off users from their Terminal Services sessions.
Note
The terminal server can be a member of an Active Directory domain or a member of a workgroup.
When a user creates a session by connecting to a terminal server from a client computer, the following information is available in Terminal Services Manager:
On the Sessions tab, information about the session running on the terminal server, such as whether the session is active. For more information about what information is displayed on the Sessions tab, see View Sessions Running on a Terminal Server.
On the Users tab, information about the user connected to the terminal server, such as the name of the user account that is logged on to the session. For more information about what information is displayed on the Users tab, see View Users Connected to a Terminal Server.
On the Processes tab, information about which programs are running in the user's session on the terminal server. For more information about what information is displayed on the Processes tab, see View Processes Running on a Terminal Server.
