Verifying Proper Operations of Applications and Services in the Cluster

Before placing the complete Network Load Balancing (NLB) cluster into a production environment, you need to verify that applications and roles/features are running correctly on the cluster.

To verify proper operations of applications and services on the new NLB cluster

  1. Temporarily connect a client computer to the same switch used by the cluster.

  2. From the client computer, verify that the applications respond to client requests as expected.

  3. Disconnect the client computer from the switch.
