Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.

Transforms a specified range in an array of 3D vector normals by a specified Matrix and writes the results to a specified range in a destination array.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Xna.Framework
Assembly:  Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Math (in Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Math.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Shared Sub TransformNormal ( _
    sourceArray As Vector3(), _
    sourceIndex As Integer, _
    ByRef matrix As Matrix, _
    destinationArray As Vector3(), _
    destinationIndex As Integer, _
    length As Integer _
)
public static void TransformNormal(
    Vector3[] sourceArray,
    int sourceIndex,
    ref Matrix matrix,
    Vector3[] destinationArray,
    int destinationIndex,
    int length
)

Parameters

  • sourceIndex
    Type: System.Int32
    The starting index in the source array.
  • destinationIndex
    Type: System.Int32
    The starting index in the destination array.
  • length
    Type: System.Int32
    The number of vectors to transform.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentException

destinationArray is too small to contain the result or the combination of sourceIndex and length was greater than sourceArray.Length.

ArgumentNullException

sourceArray or destinationArray is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
