DataServiceContext.AttachLink Method

Notifies the DataServiceContext to start tracking the specified link between the source and the specified target entity.

Parameters

  • sourceProperty
    Type: System.String
    The name of the property on the source object that represents the link between the source and target object.
  • target
    Type: System.Object
    The target object in the link that is bound to the source object specified in this call. The target object must be of the type identified by the source property or a subtype.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

When source, sourceProperty or target are nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
InvalidOperationException

When the link binding already exists.

When the source or target objects are in an Added or Deleted state.
