How to: Undo a Checkout

Visual SourceSafe's Undo Check Out command allows you to revert a Check Out operation for a database file or project. Any changes you have made to the local copy of the file or project are lost.

To revert a checkout:

1. In Visual SourceSafe Explorer, click the checked-out item(s).

2. On the Versions menu, click Undo Check Out.

3. In the Undo Check Out for <name> dialog box, select the appropriate options.

4. Click OK.
