General, Help, Options Dialog Box

This topic has been updated for Visual Studio 2005 SP1.

This page of the Options dialog box allows you to specify your display preferences for Search Results as well as specify the language preferences for results. You can access this dialog box by selecting Options from the Tools menu and click Help.

Note

Clicking OK in the Options dialog box saves all Options settings, including settings made on other pages. Clicking Cancel on any Options dialog box page cancels all change requests, including those made on other pages.

  • Highlight search terms

  • Online Topic language

    Note

If you have never been connected to the Internet while Visual Studio was in use, only one option appears: <Download Languages>. Select this option and press DOWN ARROW to download a list of available languages. An Internet connection is required. For more information, see Help Sources: Local Help and Online Help.

  • Also show English topics
Specifies that if the search results include information in English, these results are also displayed.
