Hello,
I discovered a folder named "ESD" in my C:\ which is my boot drive [that is where my OS was created]. This folder was created on 23/12/2022 [DD-MM-YYYY] on my Insider Build 25267.1000 to the Dev channel. Is this folder safe to delete? Please do guide me and let me know

Yes, it's safe empty or not.
Bryce, my ESD is a folder, not a file extension.
All 3 folders you show can be safely deleted, even if there are files within them.
They are from a previous update, installation, in-place repair/upgrade, recovery or reset.
Hey Sibro,
Yes, you are correct. I have always deleted the above 3 folders. The ESD folder was more recently introduced, or I never noticed it prior. Anyhow been deleted for some time now.
Regards.
Yes, even mine is empty.... So, is it fine if I delete it??
Thanks,
Aarav Hazare
Hover over the folder for details.
Mine says it's empty, so it would be safe to delete.
