HID game controller is missing

When I plug my controller it only shows that it is charging. So then i went to device manager and saw my hid game controller is missing and without that my pc isn't detecting the controller.

PLEASE HELP

    And about a year ago, I could connect my ps4 controller, bur right now I can't

    The controllers currently supported by Windows are the XBOX series.

    Other series of controllers are currently implemented by simulating the XBOX handle. You may need dedicated drivers to use the DS4 controller with Windows.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you are having problems with Windows not recognizing your controller.

    What controller are you currently using? Is it the Xbox series controller?

    Maybe try resetting the controller and reconnecting to see if the device is recognized again.

    Different controllers have different reset methods, please refer to the instructions of your controller to reset.
