OneDrive sorting issues

Seems like Onedrive had a recent update that changed the UI and stuff... Took a small bit to get used to it, but I'm mostly fine with it by now... Except for the sorting that is.

How do I save the sorting settings now? Like... I have my work folders arranged in descending alphabetical orders, so that the last chapters I translated are the first ones on the list... But now, every time I open the folder, it is on ascending alphabetical order. Sure, I can change it easily to descending, but when I open it up on the next day, it's on ascending order again, and it's just frustrating.

Before the last UI update, there was a "Save Sorting Order" button, but it's not there anymore (and the update seems to have reset my settings too, as a bonus), so I dunno how to keep my settings the same between sessions... Any help, please?

PS: I'm using Onedrive on the Firefox Browser, on Windows 10, in case it matters.

It's a crappy engineering decision from a user experience point of view. I am a Heavy user of Onedrive and here are some pointers to make this **** better:

1.) allow us to sort based on "created date", not just "modified date".

2.) make the default sort on created date and descending. This way, I always see the most recent files first, in particular for photos this makes a lot of sense.

3.) Speaking of photos, I have absolutely no way to sort within Albums. why the heck is that???

4.) And when I add photos to albums, the list of albums provided to me is in no sensible order. At the very least, the list of albums shown should be in alphabetical order as I try to find the album I want to add the photo to. Just a terrible user experience.

Microsoft keeps screwing things up. It is just amazing and embarrassing. Also, the whole "Photos" and "Album" functionality is just terrible. For example, I can't sort lots of photos within an Album. Plus, when adding photos to an existing Album, the list of albums (in my case a large list) are not in any logical order, nor can I sort them to quickly find the album I'm looking for. Just TERRIBLE!!!

I have worked as a programmer and technical writer for several software companies. In none of these have Engineering teams decided what features will be in a product. This is a systems design task, and decisions are made by the project manager of the product. Most engineers have no idea what features users want in a product, or what the user interface should look like. They follow the design specs that others on the project produce for them. If Microsoft really allows their engineers to decide what to include and exclude, add or delete to an application, that would go a long way towards explaining why Microsoft applications are so much more complicated than Apple apps.

We need the Save Sort Order returned to OneDrive, the tool is worthless without it.

I have thousands of photos and documents and I need specific sort orders for each folder.

Why would Microsoft remove an important feature like this!!!

I am having the exact same issue. started just a few days ago. seems to be only within the browser app. the mobile android app works fine. This really sucks. I no longer am being given the option to SAVE my sort. plus, it seems to always default to sorting by "name" and in "ascending" order which is the worst. And also, it only allows me to sort based on "modified date" rather than "created date". Please fix this ****.
