Microsoft Engage Center provides at least one workspace for each support customer. Workspaces enable you to engage with your support entitlements and business reviews.
Your workspace connects you with your specific data and the features available to you on Microsoft Engage Center.
Having separate workspaces enables you to:
manage access control independently for each individual workspace
assign an administrator for each workspace who's familiar with its specific goals
manage user access within each workspace
When your organization's Customer Success Manager (CSM) first signs in to Microsoft Engage Center, they can access your organization's default workspace.
When you sign in to Microsoft Engage Center, you land in the most recently accessed workspace. The names of any workspaces you haven't accessed yet are displayed in bold text.
Workspace types
Workspaces are created as a part of your support agreement, or as part of a specific workload created in partnership with Microsoft.
Depending on the type of support agreement your organization has with Microsoft, you might encounter different types of workspaces. To learn about the possible workspace types, select your agreement type from the following set of tabs.
When your organization signs an Enterprise Support Agreement, Microsoft Engage Center creates a workspace for your Billing Account and all support-enabled Billing Groups. To access a particular Billing Account or Billing Profile workspace, you must be given permission by your CSM or administrator.
As an MCA customer, you have access to the following capabilities:
Consent is required to show you case information in Support Insights. For more information, see Cloud case visibility.
Workloads
As part of a workload workspace, you have access to the Digital MIRP capability.
Switch between workspaces
If you have access to multiple workspaces, you can switch between them. Select the workspace switcher at the top of each page and choose from the different workspaces available to you.
Edit workspace names
We derive workspace names from various sources, dependent on what type of workspace it is and where the information is coming from.
To edit the name of a workspace, navigate to Settings, then to the Properties page. You can rename your workspace to whatever you and your organization choose.
