Updating AMA and Assessment Platform Extensions

Periodically, the Assessments DEV team releases updates for Solution packages and Client binaries. Once an update is released to live, any related Extension needs to be updated manually from the Azure portal as shown:

  1. Go to the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com.

  2. Go to Azure Arc Servers or Virtual machines.

    Select Azure Virtual machines.

  3. From the left side panel, select Extensions for Azure Arc Servers, or Extensions + applications for Virtual machines.

  4. In the Extensions view, you can identify if any Extension updates are available. To update an extension, select it, then select update.

Important

Automatic update is currently not available for custom Extensions (like Assessments). This will change soon; our Azure Team is working on implementing this feature for our Assessment Extensions.
