Menu commands and other shortcut keys

The following sections describe the keyboard shortcuts to access menu commands and other shortcut keys used in various dialog boxes in SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA).

File menu commands

To access the File menu, use the keyboard shortcut Alt+F. The following table describes the keyboard shortcuts used to access menu items under the File menu.

Display the new project dialog box Alt+F+N
Display the open project dialog box Alt+F+O
Close the current project Alt+F+C
Display the save project dialog box Alt+F+S
Display the connect or reconnect to SQL Server or Azure SQL dialog box Alt+F+Q
Access recent projects Alt+F+P
Exit SSMA application Alt+F+X

The File menu also includes the following shortcut to connect to the source database:

Edit menu commands

To access the Edit menu, use the keyboard shortcut Alt+E. The following table describes the keyboard shortcuts you can use to access menu items under the Edit menu.

To access the Tools menu, use the keyboard shortcut Alt+T. The following table describes the keyboard shortcuts you can use to access menu items under the Tools menu.

Tester menu commands
