If you are a startup backed by a VC, accelerator, incubator, or university in our Investor Network, you'll have access to a free subscription to the Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise benefit, with the ability to assign a total of 5 licenses. This product helps your team build, test, and debug applications faster with advanced developer tools.
If your startup is eligible for this benefit, it will appear in your Benefits page on the Microsoft for Startups program page within the Azure Portal.
To activate:
- Sign in to the Azure Portal
- Click on the to the Microsoft for Startups program page in the top right corner
- Navigate to the Benefits page on the left
- Look for the specific benefit (e.g., Visual Studio)
- You’ll see the benefit listed with an option to Redeem

Removing a user deactivates the license but does not free it up for reuse.

Visual Studio Enterprise benefits are only valid for one year from the date you activate the benefit. Each Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer benefit has its own terms and conditions.
