By submitting the application to join The Microsoft for Startups Investor Network ("MFSIN"), you agree to the following terms:
You represent that you're 18 years or older and that you're formally affiliated with or employed by the organization you specify in your application. All MFSIN applicants and members represent themselves as individuals. You may, but aren't required to, have legal authority to officially enter into this agreement on behalf of your organization. If you don't accept these terms, then you won't be allowed to participate in the MFSIN. Microsoft reserves the right to update these terms at any time without notice to you.
By joining the MFSIN, you give us permission to communicate with you to (a) administer the Microsoft for Startups Investor Network; and (b) give you information about MFSIN opportunities, including but not limited to: sending you periodic communication via email; providing information about exclusive events and initiatives for you, your organization, and your startups; inviting you to participate in programs managed by Microsoft for Startups for our member community; soliciting opt-in information in the form of optional surveys; and sharing promotional information about Microsoft for Startups offers.
These terms apply to your MFSIN membership, including any benefits or opportunities extended to you through a related MFSIN program. Such programs may also carry extra terms. In the event there's a conflict between these terms and any other terms associated with such program, those program terms control. Membership within the MFSIN may be an eligibility requirement to participate in various Microsoft for Startups events and initiatives intended exclusively for the MFSIN. Should you wish to share information about the MFSIN or related MFSIN programs with other individuals in your organization, you're welcome to share the MFSIN application link. Recipients are evaluated for membership as per the stated MFSIN program criteria, outlined herein.
Microsoft for Startups retains the authority to accept or reject any individual application for membership within the MFSIN. Applications are evaluated based on an individual’s publicly verifiable affiliation with a qualifying, organization that has been invited by Microsoft for Startups. Qualifying organizations invited to join the MFSIN may include but aren't limited to incubators, accelerators, venture capital firms whose principal mission is supporting startups. Individuals applying for MFSIN membership using their personal email addresses will be rejected on the grounds that their identity and affiliation can't be adequately verified. Individuals aren't required to hold a certain title or position within their affiliated organization in order to be considered eligible for MFSIN membership.
Microsoft for Startups retains the ability to deny or revoke membership from any participant in the MFSIN for any reason and at Microsoft for Startups’ sole discretion. Microsoft for Startups communicates acceptance or rejection of MFSIN applications directly to individuals via the email address provided in the application form.
Active members of the MFSIN can opt out of the MFSIN program and these terms at any time by emailing InvestorNetworkSupport@microsoft.com.
We may suspend or terminate the MFSIN at any time at our sole discretion. We give you notice before we suspend or terminate the MFSIN, except in cases in which we reasonably believe we need to suspend or terminate the MFSIN immediately.
If you or members of your organization give feedback about any Microsoft software, products, services, or documentation, you give to Microsoft, without charge, the right to use, share, and commercialize such feedback in any way and for any purpose. You or members of your organization will not give feedback that is subject to a license that requires Microsoft to license its software, products, services, or documentation to third parties because Microsoft includes such feedback in them. These rights survive these terms.
The failure of Microsoft to exercise or enforce any rights or provisions in these terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any part or provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, such part or provision may be modified to make the terms as modified legal and enforceable. The balance of the terms will not be affected.
