Ask a question before you book lessons

When it comes to choosing the right teacher, it always helps to get your questions answered up front. Once you find a teacher who sparks your interest, click the Ask a Question button on their profile to submit your question.

We’ll forward your question to the teacher and then send you their reply, via email. There’s no limit to the number of questions you can ask a teacher or the number of teachers you ask. Asking questions is a great way to build rapport with your future teacher, and we recommend reaching out to a few teachers before you book lessons.

Response time

Resonse time may vary by instructor, but you should typically hear back within 72-hours. Keep in mind, if the teacher is in a different time zone, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable, that response time could change. When you submit your question, be sure to use an active email address, so you don’t miss your response.

While you’re messaging back and forth, your direct contact info will not be shared with the teacher, and we only ask that you include a phone number just in case our team needs to help out. Currently, lessons must be paid for through TakeLessons in advance to meeting with a teacher.
