In this creative, hands-on activity inspired by the Harlem Globetrotters, students use free Microsoft AI tools-Copilot and Designer-to build a fictional basketball team made up of their classmates.

AI roster challenge

Drawing inspiration from real Globetrotters player bios, students generate Globetrotter-style nicknames, write fun and engaging player profiles using Microsoft Copilot, and design a digital team roster using Microsoft Designer. The experience combines AI prompt engineering, creative writing, and digital design to make AI approachable and fun.

This activity is suitable for both in-school and out-of-school settings and leaders can be educators, nonprofit facilitators, or volunteers with minimal technical experience.
