Document the solution design

After you've defined business processes and tracking requirements, your next step is to compare the capabilities of the application scope with the requirements. This approach helps you begin the solution design process, which is often referred to as a solution map. If you're completing the implementation of Intelligent Order Management in phases, then you should repeat this process for each phase.

For each business process in the solution map, make sure that you document the following information:

  • Applications that are involved

  • Configurations that are needed to enable the process

  • Required integrations

  • Development and extensions that are required

  • Dependencies on other processes, configurations, and integrations

This documentation helps provide a clear account of what's needed to support each business process.
