Create and refine your solution

Approve the plan and Copilot Code generates the first version. A working solution is a better starting point than a perfect idea. Collaboration begins as you review the result and decide what to improve next.  

While it builds, you stay in control

  As Copilot Code works, it pauses to ask before it takes certain actions on your behalf, such as reading files or running commands. Those prompts are written in plain language and are worth reading before you continue.

Working loop

  Review the first version and decide what needs to change. Describe changes in plain language. For example:  

  • Show AI initiatives grouped by business area.
  • Add a filter for status.

Watch for problems, not polish. If something breaks or a result looks wrong, say so. Copilot Code will try to fix it and explain what happened in plain language.   Make small meaningful improvements and review the results. Small improvements are how useful solutions take shape.

The project stays with you

  Projects are saved automatically and keep a history of changes. Return later, continue refining, or experiment with confidence. If a change takes the solution in the wrong direction, return to an earlier version and continue from there. You can also export a copy of the project.
