Understand Click to Do capabilities
Click to Do is an AI-enhanced feature available on Copilot+ PCs that helps you work with content directly from your screen. It recognizes visible text and images and suggests relevant ways to use, update, or interact with what you’ve selected.
Instead of copying and pasting between apps or interrupting your workflow to complete small tasks, Click to Do brings actions directly to the content you’re already working with.
When activated, Click to Do overlays the screen and lets you select text or images. Based on your selection, it can suggest actions such as summarizing text, rewriting content, editing images, or searching for more information.
Key capabilities include:
Context-aware actions Actions change dynamically based on the type of content selected, such as text or images.
Why this matters: Gets you to the right action faster without extra clicks or guesswork.
On-device AI processing Analysis happens locally on the device using built-in AI capabilities, helping optimize system performance and support privacy.
Why this matters: Keeps your data on your device while delivering fast, responsive results.
User-controlled experience Click to Do only analyzes content when you actively engage with it. No data is shared unless an action requires it, such as web search.
Why this matters: You stay in control of when and how your content is used.
Cross-app interaction Works across apps and content types so you can stay focused without constantly switching between tools.
Why this matters: Reduces interruptions and helps you maintain your flow.
For example, instead of copying text into another app to summarize it, you can select the text on your screen and choose Summarize. This lets you review key information more quickly without switching between apps.
