Computational thinking
Computational thinking is also becoming increasingly important in the workplace. Computational thinking is identified as one of the ten key work skills that workers will need. Computational thinking is an approach to problem solving used by computer scientists, but that applies equally to a wide range of disciplines.
Computational thinking includes:
- The ability to able to break down a problem into separate parts
- The ability to recognize and identify patterns and trends
- The ability to identify multiple possible solutions to a problem
- The ability to develop a solution to a problem
"Computational thinking is the thought processes that one uses to formulate a problem and to express its solution in such a way that a computer (human or machine) can effectively carry out.”
