Use preconfigured financial reports
Besides creating your own financial reports as demonstrated in the previous units, you can also use the preconfigured financial reports.
Business Central comes with several preconfigured reports that you can use as demo data. The row definitions and column definitions can also serve as ready-to-use reports, or as templates you can use to create your own financial reports.
Because financial reports are quite often based on G/L accounts, you might have to update the row definitions to your local chart of accounts.
The following example demonstrates how to update the Income Statement Summarized (IS SUM) row definition.
Select the Search for Page icon in the top-right corner of the page, enter Row definitions, and select the related link.
Select the IS SUM row definition and in the menu bar, select Home > Edit Row Definition.
Select the first line that has a mapping to the chart of accounts in the Totaling field.
In the Totaling field, select the lookup button to open the chart of accounts.
Select the G/L accounts that should be mapped to the current line and select OK.
Repeat steps 3 to 5 for any other row definition lines.
