Introduction
In this module, we explore the essential elements of manufacturing execution in Dynamics 365, providing a comprehensive overview of the setup and configuration processes critical to optimizing production workflows. We cover key areas such as time and attendance, job registration, and production control, focusing on configuring manufacturing execution parameters, job card terminals, production floor interfaces, and device settings. Additionally, the module delves into time tracking for projects, production feedback, material consumption management, and resource allocation, underscoring the importance of integrating these workflows with time and attendance systems for accurate tracking and reporting. The module also covers the creation and processing of finished journals for coproducts and by-products, managing raw time registrations, and approving worker time entries. We discuss the reporting process from job card devices, including inventory updates, handling batch and serial numbers, and reporting licensing plates. Lastly, the module provides guidance on configuring batch and serial-controlled items, with options for manual, predefined, and fixed numbers, along with setting up license plate management for reporting finished quantities.
