Summary
The start of this module mentioned the timely saying that you should "Plan your work and work your plan." With your Microsoft 365 deployment plan in place, this module examined the key tasks involved in configuring your Microsoft 365 tenant, specifically:
- Setting up your organizational profile
- Managing your tenant subscriptions
- Managing your services and add-ins
- Completing your tenant configuration
The module also explored several organization-level settings that companies should consider implementing. The first are SharePoint Online and OneDrive settings that control how these services control external sharing. External sharing enables your users to share content with people outside the organization, such as partners, vendors, clients, or customers. You learned how to configure these settings to provide the level of control that your organization requires. You also learned how to configure tenant-level setting to control how your users can conduct meetings in Microsoft Teams. And lastly, you learned how to enable Unified Audit Logging if your organization wants to monitor and investigate security incidents, compliance violations, and operational issues. Audit logging also enables organizations to generate audit reports and alerts based on specific events or criteria.
This module examined each of these tasks in detail. Microsoft 365 administrators must complete these tasks to successfully configure their organization's Microsoft 365 experience.
