Create fixed asset reclassification journal templates

With reclassification journals, you can transfer, combine, or split fixed assets. Before you can use reclassification journals, you need to create fixed asset reclassification journal templates.

To set up fixed asset reclassification journal templates, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search for page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter fixed asset reclassification journal templates, and then select the related link.

  2. In the Name field, enter a name, such as RECLASSIFY.

  3. In the Description field, enter a description, such as FA Reclass. Journal.

To set up fixed asset reclassification journal batches, follow these steps:

  1. On the Fixed Asset Reclassification Journal Templates page, select the line for which you want to create a new batch, and then select Batches.

  2. In the Name field, enter a name, such as DEFAULT.

  3. In the Description field, enter a description, such as Default Journal.
