Lite deployment scenario

Select the lite deployment scenario if you have already deployed and are using Customer Engagement apps.

With the lite deployment scenario, you'll get the following capabilities:

• Ability to manage project-based sales with other types of sales by using the capabilities in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales application.

• An integrated system that manages internal and billable projects for schedules and financials from project sales to invoicing.

• An enterprise resource planning (ERP)/Financial accounting system from another source to help you integrate with Project Operations.

• A system from another source to work with sales taxes, exchange rates, expense reimbursements, and non-project expenses.

The process to deploy Project Operations in a lite deployment scenario is as follows:

1. Redeem software subscriptions

   • Project Operations (CRM)

   • Office 365 Project Operations

   • Assign licenses to users

2. Dataverse environment - Install Dynamics 365 Project Operations

3. Post deployment actions - Import configuration and demo data (optional)

Install Dynamics 365 Project Operations

To install Dynamics 365 Project Operations, follow these steps:

1. Open a web browser and go to Microsoft Power Platform admin center.

2. Select Dynamics 365 apps.

3. Select Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.

4. Select Install.

   

5. From the side pane, select the environment that has your Customer Engagement apps in the Select an environment dropdown list.

   

6. Select the I agree to the terms of service check box.

7. Select Install.

8. From the Dynamics 365 apps page, verify that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations status is Installed.
