Introduction

Completed

Traditionally, the process of deploying a new device began with wiping the device and replacing the preinstalled operating system with an organization’s custom image. However, when organizations purchase devices from an OEM, Windows is already installed on the device. While simply using the OEM image might not meet organizational requirements, Windows Autopilot provides a modern approach to preparing devices for use. Autopilot uses cloud-based services to automatically configure devices with organizational settings, applications, and policies during the device’s first startup experience.
