Decide when to use dictation vs. ambient recording
Dragon Copilot supports more than one way to capture documentation. Choosing the right approach depends on your workflow and the situation.
Ambient recording is often useful when:
- You’re having a live patient conversation.
- You want documentation captured in the background.
- You prefer minimal typing during the visit.
Dictation is often useful when:
- You want to add or update documentation using your voice.
- You’re documenting outside of a live patient encounter.
- You’re making focused edits or additions.
You can use either or both in a patient session, depending on your needs.
Exercise 4 - Choose the right approach
Scenario
