Exercise - How to create prompts in the Dragon Copilot library

Completed

Prompts are like having an AI assistant at your fingertips. They're ideal when you need to complete an AI-powered task quickly. Use prompts to ask questions, edit content, generate documents, and more. In this exercise, you create a prompt in Dragon Copilot (physicians) that generates patient instructions.

Note

The features and functionality available to you vary based on your organization's configuration, language settings, and whether you're using the web, mobile, desktop, or embedded app.

Scenario

The patient encounter is complete, and you want to provide the patient with instructions to take home. Instead of typing the instructions or editing a template, you decide it would be quicker to use a prompt that automatically generates patient instructions tailored to the encounter.

Create the prompt by following these steps:

Initial setup

  1. Open Dragon Copilot, if it's not already running.
  2. Go to Settings > Library > Prompts.

Set up required and optional fields

  1. Select New item in the lower right corner.
  2. Change New item at the top to Patient instructions.
  3. Ensure the Spoken form changed to Patient instructions.
  4. In the Description field, enter: Prompt for generating patient instructions.

Update the content field and save

  1. In the Content text field, enter the following prompt text: Generate patient instructions based on the transcript only. Write the instructions in fifth grade English, use bullet point format, and organize them by diagnosis.
  2. Select Save.

You created a custom prompt in Dragon Copilot (physicians). Use prompts to incorporate AI into your workflow to save time and create content that fits your needs.
