Exercise - How to create texts in the Dragon Copilot library
If you regularly use a block of text, such as patient instructions or procedure descriptions, save it as a text so you can insert it quickly and consistently. Let's apply your skills by creating a text in Dragon Copilot (physicians).
Note
The features and functionality available to you vary based on your organization's configuration, language settings, and whether you're using the web, mobile, desktop, or embedded app.
Scenario
You frequently document follow-up instructions in your notes. Instead of redictating or copying and pasting this content every time, you decide to create a text called General follow-up instructions.
Create the text by following these steps:
Initial setup
- Open Dragon Copilot, if it's not already running.
- Go to Settings
> Library
> Texts.
Set up required and optional fields
- Select New item in the lower right corner.
- Change New item at the top to General follow up instructions.
- Ensure the Spoken form changed to General follow up instructions.
- Add a description, such as General patient follow up instructions for the note.
Update the content field and save
Add the following block of text into the content field:
The patient was instructed to continue monitoring their symptoms and to follow up as needed if their symptoms don't improve in 1 week or if there are any new or worsening symptoms. The patient was advised to seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing, chest pain, dizziness, high fever, sudden weakness, or any other significant concerns. The patient verbalized understanding and was encouraged to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Select Save.
You just created a text in Dragon Copilot (physicians). This skill helps you save time, ensure consistency, and personalize your workflow.
