Vocabulary best practices

Completed

Follow these best practices to successfully work with vocabulary entries in Dragon Copilot (physicians):

  • Add a word or phrase to the vocabulary when Dragon Copilot doesn't recognize it accurately.
  • Instead of deleting, disable words or phrases so you can easily track your vocabulary history and re-enable words or phrases later if desired.
  • Ensure that each vocabulary entry has a unique spoken form.
  • Before creating a new entry, check whether it already exists in personal or shared vocabulary.
  • Keep entries specific and concise.
  • For longer content, such as full sentences or paragraphs, use texts, not vocabulary.
  • If Dragon Copilot misinterprets an existing vocabulary term, verify that the spoken form is accurate.
  • Update or refine vocabulary entries as you continue to use Dragon Copilot.

Note

Dragon Copilot only applies custom vocabulary to text dictated by using the dictation microphone.

By using these best practices, you can personalize Dragon Copilot (physicians) more effectively and improve the accuracy of your dictation.

Note

This unit applies to both Dragon Copilot and DAX Copilot. Available features and functionality might vary based on organizational configuration, language settings, and the platform being used.
