Exercise - How to create workflows in the Dragon Copilot library
Workflows automate repetitive or multistep actions by converting them into a single action. By using workflows, you can replicate many keyboard-based tasks, such as opening applications, executing shortcuts, or entering small amounts of text. In this exercise, you create a workflow in Dragon Copilot (physicians) that opens two frequently used webpages.
Note
The features and functionality available to you vary based on your organization's configuration, language settings, and whether you're using the web, mobile, desktop, or embedded app.
Scenario
Imagine you routinely open a search webpage and the Microsoft Support site as part of your workflow. Instead of clicking through screens manually, you want to build a workflow that opens both pages with one spoken command.
Create the workflow by following these steps:
Initial setup
- Open Dragon Copilot, if it's not already running.
- Go to Settings
> Library
> Workflows.
Set up required and optional fields
- Select New item in the lower right corner.
- Change New item at the top to open search pages.
- Ensure the Spoken form changed to open search pages.
- Enter a description, such as: "Opens Microsoft Bing search page and the general Microsoft support page."
Add a step to the workflow
- Select Add a step, and then choose Open app from the step type list.
- In the File path field, enter www.bing.com.
Add subsequent steps to the workflow and save
- Add another step by selecting Add a step > Open app.
- In the File path field, enter aka.ms/LearnDragonCopilot.
- Add any other steps you want, such as opening an app or inserting text.
- Select Save.
You created a multistep workflow in Dragon Copilot (physicians). This automation helps you reduce repetitive tasks and minimize clicks throughout the workday.
