Exercise - Create a workflow to add your name
You can save time and reduce clicks by creating workflows for actions you frequently perform. In this exercise, you create a workflow in Dragon Copilot (physicians) that goes to the end of your note, adds line breaks, and types your name.
Note
The features and functionality available to you vary based on your organization's configuration, language settings, and whether you're using the web, mobile, desktop, or embedded app.
Scenario
When you finish your notes, you always add your name at the bottom. Instead of using your keyboard for every note, save clicks by building a workflow that completes the steps for you.
Create the workflow by following these steps:
Initial setup
- Open Dragon Copilot, if it's not already running.
- Go to Settings
> Library
> Workflows.
Set up required and optional fields
- Select New item in the lower right corner.
- Change New item at the top to add my name.
- Ensure the Spoken form changed to add my name.
- Enter a description, such as: Goes to the end of the sentence, selects enter twice, and types my name.
Add steps to the workflow
- Select Add a step, and then choose Keyboard shortcut from the step type list.
- In the Enter keys field, select the End key on your keyboard.
- Select Add a step, and then choose Keyboard shortcut from the step type list.
- In the Enter keys field, select the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Select Add a step, and then choose Keyboard shortcut from the step type list.
- In the Enter keys field, select the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Select Add a step, and then choose Enter text (non-library) from the step type list.
- In the Text field, type your name.
- Select Save.
You created a multistep workflow in Dragon Copilot (physicians) that adds your name to the end of a note. This automation helps you reduce repetitive tasks and minimize clicks throughout the workday.
