Introduction

Completed

Successful Dragon Copilot adoption depends on clear role definition and aligned expectations. In this unit, you clarify the trainer’s role in adoption and establish leadership expectations that support effective training and practice.

Trainers are responsible for teaching workflows, coaching behaviors such as care out loud, and supporting nursing staff through first‑use scenarios. Nurse leaders don't replace trainers; instead, leaders create the conditions that allow training to succeed by setting priorities, protect practice time, and reinforce consistent expectations.

Note

Reinforce expectations and ensure nursing staff knows where to get support.

For example, during early rollout, you can open a shift huddle by reinforcing that practice is expected and perfection isn't. This simple signal reduces anxiety and encourages nursing staff to engage with training rather than avoid it.

Tip

Adjust onboarding and support approach to meet the needs of different shift patterns (day, night, rotating), ensuring consistent access to training and practice
