Process mining in Power Automate web portal

Completed

The Process mining section on the Power Automate maker portal is the starting point of your journey in analyzing and optimizing business operations. It's where you create your new processes, prepare data for ingestion, view and examine process reports, and manage your existing processes.

Create

To begin creating a new process, select one of the popular templates. Alternatively, you can create a new process by connecting directly to Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage or by using a dataflow, where you have the flexibility to use various connectors or upload a file.

Prepare data

Before ingesting the data, you can use the Power Query editor to refine it. This process includes filtering your data, renaming activities, altering data formats, merging tables, connecting to various data sources, or using the numerous data transformation tools that are available in the Power Query editor.

Process report

Following the data ingestion, online process mining generates a Power BI report of your process. This report includes a summary overview, a visual process map, and variant DNA. If any validation issues exist, you receive a notification.

Manage

You can connect to an existing Power BI workspace and publish the generated process report, share the process with colleagues, set up an automatic data refresh schedule, or disconnect/connect to a data source.

The following video explains how you can get started with a Power Automate Process Mining analysis.
