Introduction

Completed

The workplace and workforce are transforming at a record pace. Currently, workers are relying on remote access and need benefits that provide creative solutions to today's challenges. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources provides you with tools that help you update your processes and provide human resources (HR) programs that are cost-effective and have significant impact.

Human Resources helps you get the workforce insights that you need to build data-driven employee experiences across key HR functions, including compensation, benefits, leave and absence, compliance, payroll, performance feedback, training and certification, and self-service programs.

Human Resources is within the same infrastructure as Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps in the Human Resources module, this way you can connect people and operations data to ensure that you can optimize workforce costs and take care of your employees.

Note

Dynamics 365 Human Resources is now integrated into the Finance and Operations infrastructure, you will need to migrate to the new infrastructure if your organization makes use of the standalone Human Resources application. You can transfer your configuration information, employee data, personalizations, and workflows onto an empty Finance and Operations environment. For more information on migration, for more information see, Dynamics 365 Human Resources customer migration.

Overcome top HR challenges

Employee expectations, widespread skill shortages, and intense competition for top talent has made retention a top priority. The following trends can impact employee retention today:

  • Skill shortages

  • Digital market competition

  • Employee experience

  • Personalization, diversity, and inclusion

  • Multi-generational workforce

Bridge the gap with digital transformation

Automation can help companies overcome other complex challenges that they encounter. Working in silos leads to low revenue for every employee. Disconnected HR systems result in a high total cost of ownership (TCO). Lack of visibility into the impact of HR programs causes a low employee satisfaction index. Low engagement with employees leads to high attrition rates, and the average cost to fill a position is 33 percent of an employee's annual salary.

Finance and operations apps allow you to engage with employees and increase overall satisfaction. With Human Resources, you can:

  • Increase employee retention by aligning people effectively and offering competitive compensation, benefits, and leave programs.

  • Reduce organizational complexity with administration that accurately reflects organizational structures, hierarchies, personnel records, and job descriptions.

  • Improve productivity and efficiency with automated processes, workflows, and task management.

  • Personalize your solution through an intuitive and customizable interface that allows you to add or hide fields, change layouts, and share with others.

  • Customize and extend Human Resources with Microsoft Power Platform, regardless of your level of technical ability.

  • Drive business performance with the privacy and compliance that is delivered by human capital management that is built on Microsoft Azure.

  • Innovate business models to conduct local or remote point-of-sale from any device.

  • Innovate faster and easier with an integrated finance and operations solution that is adaptable to your business needs and grows at your company's pace.

Human Resources provides an excellent employee experience while automating typical "hire-to-retire" tasks. This digital transformation helps you to better track employee achievement, ensure regulatory compliance, and streamline processes that were previously manual and time-consuming.
