Access key data points
Insights is always available as a tab in each of your class teams. To add Insights as an app and gain another dashboard that highlights all of your active classes:
- Select the ellipsis button (...) on the app bar of Teams.
- Search for Insights and select the Insights icon.
The Insights tab isn't visible to and can't be accessed by students.
By accessing Insights through the Teams app, you'll have an overview of all of your courses. Select any course to drill down to further information specific to that class.
Insights ensures student data is secure and protected. Each report is only available to class owners, and only includes student activities in the learning environment and assignment grades recorded in the team. While Insights shines a spotlight on student activity, there's no judgment or evaluation of individual students. Educators and school communities are encouraged to use the available data to enhance the quality of instruction and connection within the digital learning environment.
