Introduction
Manage Power Apps effectively
Welcome to the final module of this Microsoft Power Platform learning path. In this unit, you'll learn how to manage Power Apps, including how to work with app versions, share apps with others, and use environments to organize resources.
Manage app versions
When you create an app from the Power Apps home page, it's saved to the cloud. Power Apps maintains a version history each time you save your app. When you publish an app, users will automatically access the latest published version. If necessary, you can revert to an earlier version. This unit includes steps to manage and restore versions.
Share apps with others
After creating apps, you may need to share them with specific users, groups, or your entire organization. Power Apps supports flexible sharing permissions, allowing others to run, edit, or reshare the app depending on the access level you grant. This unit walks you through the process of sharing an app.
Use environments to organize resources
Environments are containers that help organize your apps, data sources, and other components based on purpose, region, or audience. For example, you can set up separate environments for development, testing, and production scenarios.
You can create and manage environments in the Microsoft Power Platform admin center if you have the appropriate role. Only users with the Environment Admin or Power Platform Admin role can perform these tasks. If you don’t have one of these roles, you'll learn what steps to take to delegate or request the necessary permissions.
Summary
This unit provides the foundational knowledge you need to manage your apps within Microsoft Power Apps. You'll gain the skills to handle app versions, share access appropriately, and structure your apps using environments.
