Innovation Backlog
While planning and ideating, you have options for how to track these ideas and make plans. The Innovation Backlog app is part of the Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence Starter Kit. The app allows users to submit their ideas for innovation, including apps and flows in your organization that could address current pain points.
Other users vote on ideas to help guide the decision-making team. Afterward, the Microsoft Power Platform developers and other decision-making team members can continue to investigate the suggestions and make recommendations for the next best actions.
The Innovation Backlog canvas app steps users through the process of adding ideas and their supporting details. As part of the workflow input step, users can submit files, including a process map from Power Automate process advisor.
If a process file isn't available, users can still manually create a workflow and point to the tools in use.
After users submit ideas, developers review them and then ask questions and communicate with idea owners and voters. After they implement the ideas, developers can provide details about the created and deployed solution.
With the Innovation Backlog app, you can still extend by using the full offerings of Microsoft Power Platform. You can add your own automation to the app to encourage more use, such as automating notifications, adding feedback opportunities, seeking more votes on ideas, and more.
