Exercise - Consume materials

Completed

This exercise uses the Cronus sample company from the US version of Business Central. You might need to adjust the steps if you use the sample company from your country or region.

Scenario

Based on the scheduling information, the production department is ready to start testing the first samples of item AutoDrip - Demo.

The first task is to change the status of the firm planned production order to Released. Because you want to post consumption manually, you change the flushing method for component SP-SCM-1004 to Manual. You decide to use this approach for this released production order only.

When the process is complete, you'll consume the components by using the consumption journal.

To post consumption, first use the Adjust Inventory function to add 100 units of both components to the inventory.
