Summary
The module examined the various storage options that are available for Windows clients. Windows can access data stored on local, virtual, or server-based storage. Dedicated storage services can be delivered by NAS and SAN solutions as well as cloud-based storage services like OneDrive and Azure Storage. Disks are divided into partitions. GPT architecture is more scalable, however MBR may be used when working with legacy systems. Windows provides graphical and command-line based tools for managing storage. Dynamic disks provide the option to span and stripe data across multiple disks. Mirroring and spanning data provide redundancy benefits and performance boosts to disks.
