Procedure Master Translator maintenance

Completed

A facility introduces new procedures and updates several CPT code relationships. Administrators must ensure that procedure mappings remain accurate so reporting, analytics, and QC processes continue to function correctly.

The Procedure Master Translator (PMT) is used to maintain mappings between exam codes, CPT codes, descriptions, and modalities.

Understand PMT maintenance

The Procedure Master Translator enables administrators to download existing mappings, update mapping information, and upload revised files back into mPower.

Review PMT content

The PMT contains exam codes, descriptions, CPT codes, and modality information. Maintaining these relationships helps support operational consistency.

Update mappings

As new procedures are introduced or existing mappings change, administrators update PMT records and upload revised mapping files.

Maintain downstream processes

Accurate PMT mappings help support analytics calculations, modality assignments, QC algorithms, and integrity checks. Missing or incorrect mappings can affect reporting results.
