Exercise - Set up a transfer route
This exercise uses the CRONUS sample company from the US version of Business Central. You might need to adjust the steps if you use the sample company from your country or region.
Scenario
The company needs a new transfer route to bring items from the MAIN warehouse to the NORTH warehouse by using their own trucks. The transfer time is two days. You have been asked to set up these transfer routes in Business Central.
Task
Set up the transfer route.
Steps
Select the Search for Page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter transfer routes, and then select the related link.
In the Transfer Route Matrix FastTab, locate the MAIN row and the NORTH column and then select the Restriction (...) field.
In the In-Transit Code field, select AssistEdit and then select OWN LOG.
In the Shipping Agent Code field, select OWN LOG.
In the Shipping Agent Service Code field, select the Look up value button.
Select New to create a new shipping agent service code.
In the Code field, enter TWO DAYS.
In the Description field, enter Two days.
In the Shipping Time field, enter 2D.
Select OK.
Make sure that the shipping agent service code for the transfer route shows TWO DAYS.
Press the Esc key to close the Trans. Route Spec. dialog box.
