This module discussed the needs of the 21st century learner, 21st century learning design research, and introduced the six dimensions (or skills) that researchers have determined to be essential for the 21st century learner.

We also introduced the concept of 21CLD rubrics and decision trees that serve as a framework for learning design and will be covered in depth in each dimension’s module.

Remember, this module begins of the learning path about 21st century learning design. Before starting the next module, find a lesson from your own collection to code according to the rubrics as you work through each dimension. This activity is important for reinforcing the new concepts and processes of 21CLD so you'll be ready to start reforming your teaching practice at the end of this learning path.
