Introduction
Educators often talk about AI as if the tool itself is the decision. In practice, the harder work is naming what kind of decision you're making and what responsibility comes with it. Empowering Learners for the Age of AI: An AI Literacy Framework for Primary and Secondary Education (AILit Framework) (OECD, 2025) provides a shared language to help educators clarify those decisions before debating tools. In this module, you learn the four domains of the AILit Framework and practice using them to sort messy scenarios into a clearer conversation.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this module, you'll be able to:
- Analyze an AI-related scenario and identify the primary decision domain using the TeachAI framework.
- Select a domain-aligned question that clarifies responsibility before choosing a tool.
- Design a short explanation that uses the framework language to support shared understanding across roles.
- Plan one safeguard or integrity norm that aligns with the domain and scenario.
